Is Ufc 146 a knockout waiting to happen?
On May 26, 2012, Junior Dos Santos will take on Alistair Overeem in a highly
anticipated title match. Overeem and Dos Santos are on top of my UFC
heavyweight rankings and for good reason. Both of these heavyweights have
excellent strikes and will look to keep this fight on its feet. Both of these
heavyweights have excellent MMA records, 14-1 for Dos Santos and 48-11 for
Overeem, and are coming off impressive wins, over Cain Velasquez and Brock
Lesnar respectively.
Dos Santos will take this fight by knockout. Junior has some of the best hands in
the heavyweight division and the takedown defense to keep the fight standing in
case Overeem decides he is done getting picked apart on the feet. Alistair is a
kickboxer and will try to mix up his strikes but Dos Santos' power and boxing will
be too much for him. This coupled with Overeem's reputation for having a glass
chin means Overeem is going to sleep. While Dos Santos' chin has not been tested
extensively he can take a shot as proven by his fight with Roy Nelson.
Although Overeem does have a fan base, I think people want Dos Santos to win so
he can get a rematch with Cain Velasquez.
Why Junior Dos Santos lost at UFC 155

For all of you who tuned into UFC 155, you saw a good card including a fight of the year candidate, Lauzon vs Miller. What you also saw was Junior Dos Santos get dominated like never before. While most people probably came away impressed with Velasquezs' performance, I, on the other hand, was not blown away but was disappointed with how Dos Santos fought.
